Give low income kids a head start by providing books, educational toys and school supplies.

Adopt-A-Classroom and shorten the gap

There is a growing academic achievement gap between high and low-income children.

For children from poorer backgrounds, the race is often lost before it started.

Head Start helps shorten this gap - preparing low-income children for future academic success by providing a comprehensive preschool education program.

The program reaches beyond the classroom, engaging family and community members to get involved and support their child's education.

St. Vincent de Paul manages 47 Headstart classrooms at 7 sites across Baltimore.  As one grandmother commented, "St. Vincent de Paul Head Start has really become our family. They have provided my granddaughter with the tools and knowledge that have helped her grow socially and academically.”

To continue to provide the needed tools that spark learning for these low-income children and families, the Head Start program needs basic schools supplies and educational toys.

By helping to Adopt-A-Classroom today, you can provide necessary items and prepare these children to be successful in the future.
